Where to Stay in Klang

Playing host to the stately Moorish-and-Asian style Sultan Sulaiman Mosque, Klang is a township located 30km southwest of Kuala Lumpur. As erstwhile royal seat and historic capital of Selangor, Klang is far older than Kuala Lumpur but there aren’t many tourist-worthy sights in the area. Nevertheless, it must be said that Klang’s got a fair number of historic buildings – worth mentioning is the National Tin Museum and the old Istana. Home to a great number of Malaysia’s Indian community, the area houses a few inexpensive yet handsome midrange hotels.
