Mid Valley is best known as the home to the colossal Mid Valley Megamall, one of Kuala Lumpur’s most popular shopping, dining and entertainment venues. The shopping centre is the biggest in Malaysia (housing 300 stores, an 18-screen cinema and a bowling alley) and one of the largest in Southeast Asia. Well connected via the KL Komuter Mid-Valley station, there’s also a free shuttle bus to/from the Bangsar Light Rail Transit (LRT) station. Adjacent to Mid Valley Megamall is The Gardens, an upscale retail complex as well as a series of office blocks. Accommodation options are plentiful in this retail therapy haven – within the area are luxury hotels as well as midrange deals that are easy on the pocket.
