65km south of Kuala Lumpur, Sepang is a ten-minute drive east of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Part of Selangor, the 612sqkm Sepang is best known as the site of the Sepang International Circuit – the track where Formula One holds the Malaysian Grand Prix every March or April; additionally Cyberjaya (Malaysia’s Silicon Valley) and KLIA call this area home. Furthermore, the area plays host to a series of upmarket accommodation options as well as mid-range deals going for a song and there are plenty of train and bus routes serving the KL area that pass through here.
